API keys and partner access

API Keys lets software access your Account. 3rd Party Access lets you approve partners who manage the Account on your behalf.

Open Settings > API Keys when setting up software that needs a Sqquid API key.

  1. Select Add API key.
  2. Enter a name that identifies its purpose, such as Warehouse connector.
  3. Select Create API key.
  4. Use Reveal if the key is hidden, then Copy to paste it into the software you are connecting.

Treat API keys like passwords. Share them only with the software or person who needs that access.

To remove a key, select its trash icon and confirm with Delete API key. This revokes it immediately, so software using that key will stop working.

Developers can use the live API reference.

To connect an AI assistant through MCP, use browser authorization. That connection does not need an API key.

Open Settings > 3rd Party Access. You can review access here, but an Account Administrator must approve, deny, or revoke it.

Under Pending Requests, check the partner name, requester, and any message before selecting Approve or Deny. Requests expire after seven days.

Connected Partners lists partners with access to see and manage this Account. Select Revoke to remove a partner’s access when it is no longer needed.

Approve, Deny, and Revoke take effect when selected, without a separate confirmation dialog.
