Organizations, Accounts, and Connections

Sqquid organizes your business into Organizations, Accounts, and Connections.

Term Meaning What belongs here
Organization Your company Users, access, and billing for its Accounts
Account One retail operation or workspace Its plan, products, inventory, orders, Locations, and rules
Connection A link to one external system Authorization, sync settings, and location mappings

For example, Northwind Outfitters could have a US Account connected to RunIt POS, Shopify, Amazon, and EasyPost. A separately managed operation could have its own Account and plan within the same Organization.

Example: two Accounts in one Organization. Each Account has its own Connections and operational data.

An Organization can contain one or more Accounts. It groups company access and billing. A person can have access to more than one Organization.

Each Account has its own products, orders, Connections, and settings. An order-routing change in one Account does not configure another Account.

Always check the selected Account before changing settings or investigating a problem.

Administrators manage staff access and billing for each Account. Your own name and password belong to your login and are managed in My Profile.

Each Connection links the Account to a specific store, seller account, POS system, or service. Two Shopify Connections, for example, have separate settings and sync histories even though they use the same provider.

A Connection’s settings affect that link. Account settings, such as order routing, can affect several Connections.

See Connections in the app to add, manage, or pause a Connection, and the Connection guides for each system’s setup and supported features.

Next, choose which system will supply your products and inventory.
