Sqquid

Sources of truth

The source of truth is where your team maintains a particular type of information. Sqquid imports that information and shares it with the Connections that use it.

Choose one source for each Account:

Setup Maintain products and inventory in
RunIt POS RunIt
Lightspeed Retail (X-Series) Lightspeed
Shopify Channels Hub, coming soon The source Shopify store

Make routine stock changes in that source. If you correct a quantity only on a sales channel, the next Sqquid update can replace it.

Product fields can have different owners. For example, RunIt can supply SKUs and prices while your team writes Shopify descriptions in Shopify. Configure the sales Connection to leave those descriptions unchanged.

See your Connection guide for the fields and ownership settings it supports. For example, Shopify’s product data flow controls which fields Sqquid manages. See Edit product fields for changes you can make in the app.

Different information can have different owners

Section titled “Different information can have different owners”
Information Where it usually starts
Products and stock The product source
Customer orders The storefront or marketplace where the customer bought the item
Fulfillment assignments Sqquid’s Account-level routing rules
Labels and tracking The shipping or fulfillment workflow

Sqquid sends updates back only where the Connection supports them. Importing orders does not, by itself, mean a Connection can send shipment confirmations or process refunds.

Check Shipments and notifications for supported ecommerce updates and Order returns for the return workflow.

  1. Connect and enable the product source.
  2. Create or map your Locations.
  3. Run the initial product and inventory imports and check a few variants.
  4. Review product matching before connecting existing listings.
  5. Choose which product fields Sqquid may create or update on each sales Connection.
