RunIt orders and returns

RunIt supplies products and inventory to Sqquid. In the other direction, Sqquid can send online order activity back to RunIt so the POS reflects the ecommerce operation.

A typical order follows this path:

  1. An order is created on Shopify, Amazon, eBay, Walmart, or another sales Connection.
  2. Sqquid imports the order.
  3. Sqquid applies the Account’s routing rules and assigns items to locations.
  4. Sqquid sends the order to RunIt.
  5. Fulfillment continues through the workflow configured for the Account.

The originating sales Connection remains associated with the order in Sqquid, while RunIt receives the order information needed for the POS record.

Routing determines which location handles each order item. Configure routing before relying on automatic RunIt order export, especially when the Account has multiple stores or warehouses.

Depending on your Account configuration, routing can consider location rules, inventory availability, priority, geographic behavior, dropshipping, and fallback behavior.

See Order routing for rule types, then configure and preview assignments in Settings.

Turn on Shipment sync when RunIt should be notified after an order ships through Sqquid.

When it is off, RunIt is not notified by this Connection when the Sqquid order ships.

Shipment synchronization depends on the order having enough RunIt information to identify the corresponding receipt and store. If a shipment fails, check the related order first.

Turn on Export returns when returns created through Sqquid fulfillment should be sent back to RunIt.

Sqquid exports return quantities and supported financial information against the related RunIt order or receipt. Transfer returns can also create the inventory movements required to place units in the appropriate stores.

Before enabling shipment or return export:

  • Confirm that online orders are reaching RunIt successfully.
  • Confirm that Sqquid locations use the correct RunIt Store IDs.
  • Complete a test order through routing and fulfillment.
  • Confirm the RunIt receipt before testing a return.
  • Review Sqquid synchronization errors after each test.

See RunIt settings to configure shipment and return behavior.
