Shopify Channels Hub products and inventory

Shopify is the source of products and inventory for Shopify Channels Hub. Make routine product and stock changes in Shopify, then let Sqquid distribute that information to your other sales Connections.

What Sqquid imports

Sqquid imports supported Shopify product information, including:

Products and variants
Titles and descriptions
Vendor or brand information
Product options
Prices and compare-at prices
SKUs and barcodes
Product and variant images
Shopify tags used as categories

Shopify remains the source of truth. Changes made only to Sqquid’s imported copy can be replaced by a later Shopify update.

Product matching

Sqquid imports Shopify products and variants with their Shopify identifiers. Each sellable variant should also have a stable, unique SKU because other sales Connections commonly use it to match the same item.

Inventory and locations

Sqquid imports available inventory from mapped Shopify locations. Location mappings make sure inventory and order routing refer to the same physical stores and warehouses.

To review the mappings:

Open Shopify Channels Hub.
Select Locations.
Import eligible Shopify locations or map them to existing Sqquid Locations.
Confirm that each physical store or warehouse is represented correctly.
Save the mappings.

Each Shopify location can be mapped only once. At least one mapped location is required before the Connection is ready.

Initial and ongoing imports

The first import can take longer than later updates, especially for stores with many products or variants. Shopify also limits how quickly apps can process large batches, so Sqquid may import products in stages.

After the initial import, Sqquid processes supported product and inventory changes automatically. Use the Connection’s Setup page and synchronization history to confirm recent activity.
