RunIt products and inventory
RunIt is the source of truth for product and inventory information in a POS-led Account. Sqquid converts RunIt records into the product and variant structure used by your online Connections.
What is imported
Section titled “What is imported”Depending on your RunIt data and Connection settings, Sqquid imports:
- Styles and their size or color variants
- SKUs or barcodes
- ALUs when enabled
- Product names and descriptions
- Brands
- Department, type, subtype, season, and gender categories
- Base and special prices
- Active timed-sale prices when enabled
- Weight information
- Inventory by RunIt store
Choose which products to import
Section titled “Choose which products to import”Use Only import items marked “Sell on the Web” to control the product scope:
- Turn it on to restrict imports to RunIt styles marked for web sale.
- Turn it off to allow all eligible styles returned by RunIt.
This setting also affects the inventory records requested from RunIt.
Prices
Section titled “Prices”Choose which RunIt price fields feed Sqquid:
| Setting | Available sources |
|---|---|
| Base price | Price, Suggested Price, First Price, Store Price, or Custom Web Price |
| Special price | None, Price, Suggested Price, First Price, Store Price, or Custom Web Price |
When Apply timed sales to special price is enabled, a current RunIt sale price can replace the configured special-price field for the affected barcode.
Product names and descriptions
Section titled “Product names and descriptions”Sqquid can build a product name from a prefix, separator, and main RunIt field.
Available name sources include:
- Description
- Brand
- Style
- Web Description, falling back to Description when empty
- Long Description
You can also control capitalization and optionally add size and color to variant names.
Before importing the full product set, test the selected naming behavior with representative styles. Name changes can affect every product published to sales Connections.
Categories and brands
Section titled “Categories and brands”Choose how deep to import the RunIt category hierarchy:
- Department
- Department and Type
- Department, Type, and Subtype
- Department, Type, Subtype, and Season
- Department, Type, Subtype, Season, and Gender
Separate settings control category and brand capitalization. Custom brand casting lets you provide a comma-separated list of brand names with the exact capitalization you want to preserve.
Enable Sync ALUs only when your storefront or another workflow uses RunIt ALUs for matching. SKUs remain the preferred common identifier across Connections.
Inventory
Section titled “Inventory”Sqquid imports RunIt inventory by store. Those store quantities feed:
- Sqquid location inventory
- Online availability
- Order routing
- Fulfillment decisions
- Inventory updates sent to sales Connections
Dynamic Buffers and other availability rules can intentionally make the online available quantity lower than RunIt’s physical on-hand quantity.
Initial import order
Section titled “Initial import order”For the first import:
- Import inventory.
- Import products.
- Review representative parent products and variants.
- Confirm SKU, price, category, and inventory location behavior.
- Only then enable automatic publishing to additional sales Connections.
Full imports can take time for large catalogs. Use the synchronization history rather than repeatedly starting another import.
