Add your locations

A Location is a store, warehouse, or other place that holds inventory or fulfills orders. Sqquid uses Locations for inventory, fulfillment, order routing, and Dynamic Buffers.

Add every place that will take part in those workflows. The Setup Guide marks this goal complete after the first Location exists, but one Location is not enough if stock is held in several places.

Create RunIt locations manually in Sqquid:

  1. In the Setup Guide, expand Create your locations and select Manage locations.
  2. Select Add Location.
  3. Enter a recognizable name and a unique Store ID.
  4. Enter the full address and phone number. Notification emails are optional.
  5. Save the Location.
  6. Repeat for each RunIt store or warehouse that will participate in Sqquid.

Use the matching RunIt store identifier as the Sqquid Store ID. RunIt inventory uses that identifier to locate the stock in Sqquid. Do not reuse a Store ID or change it after you have built mappings and routing rules around it.

See RunIt products and inventory for how store inventory reaches these Locations.

  1. In the Setup Guide, expand Import your locations and select Import locations.
  2. On the Shopify source Connection, open Locations.
  3. Select Auto-import.
  4. Choose the Shopify locations you use for inventory or fulfillment.
  5. Import them. Sqquid creates the Locations and maps them back to Shopify.
  6. Review each Location’s name and address.

Each Shopify location can map to only one Sqquid Location. See Map locations in Shopify Channels Hub for the provider-specific steps.

  1. In the Setup Guide, expand Import your locations and select Import locations.
  2. On the Lightspeed source Connection, open Locations.
  3. Select Auto-import and choose the outlets you use.
  4. Import the outlets. Sqquid creates and maps the matching Locations.
  5. Review the imported addresses.

If a Lightspeed outlet has an incomplete address, Sqquid identifies it during import and uses temporary address details. Edit that Location before using distance-based routing or buying shipping labels.

After setup, use Settings > Locations to update addresses, contact details, and business hours. For more about Store IDs, mappings, and location-dependent behavior, read Locations.

Next, connect your first sales channel.
